Jack is the principal owner of LaViano Jewelers and has been involved in the company since 1965, having taken over for his father, MJ, who started the company in 1945.

Jack specializes in all aspects of modern and heirloom jewelry, including diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones, watchmaking, gem identification, and the design and manufacturing of one-of-a-kind items. Jack is an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and playing with his ever-growing legion of dogs.

Jeffrey has been in the family business since 1992 and proudly continues to grow the tradition his grandfather and father started. Jeffrey has many passions in life, most of which involve the outdoors and the reason he moved to full time countryside living in Warwick N.Y. His daughter and sidekick, Penelope, is by his side, taking care of the dogs, feeding the chickens, and operating the farm tractor. Living in Warwick is also the impetus behind a second store location, opening in 2020 in Warwick. He has often been heard saying how he prefers frontier living!

Bert has been with LaViano Jewelers since 1976 and is as close to family as you can get. Given his decades of experience and dedication, he is surely an industry expert. He is our onsite Renaissance Man. Ranging from store manager to jewelry salesman to stand-in handyman (and everything in between), he is an integral part of the store’s everyday life. When he is not at the store building his loyal client base, he greatly enjoys treating his three grandkids, Isabella, Benjamin, and Lea, to ice cream or pizza.

Our in-house watchmaker since 1987, Chris is an expert prognosticator. If there is a problem with a watch, he will know exactly what it is and how to repair it. He is so dedicated to his work with watches that most of us in the store only see the top of his head because his face is buried in a watch with an eye loupe. Chris is a master saltwater fisherman, a cigar aficionado, and a single-barrel scotch enthusiast!

Jeanne joined us in 2007 with more than 43 years of experience in the industry. She enjoys our family-owned and operated business and LaViano’s well-known reputation. Jeanne pleases her loyal customer base with her knowledge of diamonds and gemstones. She loves classic styles: plain, pure, and elegant. She is a GIA member, trained in diamond grading lab, cut grading lab, and detecting treated gems. She is interested fitness, tropical fish, gardening, and spending time with her husband, John, and her cat, Sammy.

Tom has been with LaViano Jewelers since 2013 and has been in the jewelry business for more than 40 years. From manufacturing to retail, Tom has experienced it all. You can find him in our workshop building and repairing all sorts of jewelry. Tom most enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Matt’s love for the jewelry business started when he was only 12. He moved to America from Poland when he was 23 years old to continue working as a jeweler. From 1991 until 2007, he worked independently for his own jewelry manufacturing company. Matt joined our team in 2007 and continues to build top-notch jewelry! In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife, two daughters, and dog Rizzo.

Trudy has been with us for 32 years and is consistently our most valuable player. Her exceptional style and talent have helped her gain her loyal clients’ trust to choose what looks best on them. Her favorite jewelry designers are Octagon, Roberto Demeglio, and Picchiotti. She grew up in Germany and speaks four languages: German, Dutch, English, and some Russian. Her hobbies are sewing, knitting, dancing, and sailing, as well as spending time with her two children, two grandchildren, and her Norwich terrier, Harry.

Catalin leads our watch department with passion, knowledge, and a desire to convert every visitor to our store into a permanent customer. Catalin has been intrigued and fascinated with watches since childhood, and his quest for acquiring extensive technical details about time pieces grew exponentially over time.

Catalin holds a degree in computer science and he is actively involved in the web development of our website.

Jennifer is new to the LaViano Family, joining us in 2020. Jennifer brings to the team her extensive experience in high-end fashion, working previously for designers such as Channel, Dior, Fendi, Saks and Jill Sanders, amongst others. Her exquisite style and taste are a natural fit with the unique and impeccable quality of the LaViano brand. Jennifer is an avid cyclist and fan of the sport, and now takes to Pilates for her fitness regimen. Jennifer grew up locally in the town of Saddle River and is now a resident of Norwood.

Rob returned home to LaViano Jewelers in 2020 after having worked in our Westwood NJ store from 1980 – 1986. Upon leaving our employ in the 80’s he joined his dad and brother in a family run Sales/Marketing business. With over 35 years of sales and management experience and running all aspects of a successful business, he has returned to LaViano Jewelers to manage our new Warwick, NY location. When not working, Rob enjoys the beach, music, playing guitar and spending as much time as possible with family, especially his five grandchildren.
